What Is a Foodscape?
A foodscape is a thoughtfully designed outdoor space where edible plants and traditional landscaping come together. It’s both decorative and productive—giving you fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs while enhancing curb appeal and increasing your home’s value.
Yard to Fork specializes in high-yield, organic, California-friendly foodscapes that thrive in our climate and require smart, sustainable care.

Permaculture Practices
Permaculture practices are integrated within our foodscape design and prioritize sustainability and ecological balance. We create resilient gardens with key elements that include companion planting to improve soil health, mulching to retain moisture and suppress weeds, and the strategic placement of perennial plants to reduce the need for replanting each season. Water management techniques, such as swales and rain gardens, efficiently capture and utilize rainfall, while minimizing runoff. This approach not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the landscape, but also promotes biodiversity, and supports local ecosystems.
