Permaculture Practices

Permaculture practices are integrated within our foodscape design and prioritize sustainability and ecological balance. We create resilient gardens with key elements that include companion planting to improve soil health, mulching to retain moisture and suppress weeds, and the strategic placement of perennial plants to reduce the need for replanting each season. Water management techniques, such as swales and rain gardens, efficiently capture and utilize rainfall, while minimizing runoff. This approach not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the landscape, but also promotes biodiversity, and supports local ecosystems.

  • Yard to Fork is awesome! I wish I'd found this service when we first started our backyard veggie garden; we would have saved so much time and money! We had the garden revival done, which included preparing our garden beds, amending the soil, planning the layout and finalizing our drip system. We added on garden maintenance to help us keep the garden healthy and help us learn new things. It's so affordable and simple!

  • This has been the best investment we have made for our home. I am pretty sure that we get what we pay for this service (and then some) with all of the yummy fruit and veggies our garden produces. If you have ever wanted to have your own garden, give them a call. You will not be disappointed!

  • I cannot thank Yard To Fork more for all they do for my garden! I have used pretty much all of the services they offer, and still do. I am always thoroughly impressed with them, regardless of the project. The crew is professional and a joy to work with. I love that you can be as hands on or off as you want when they do their maintenance of the yard, should you choose that service. I also appreciate the collaboration with the projects, as they assist in coming up with different ideas for not only bed designs, but also what to plant, when, and why. And of course, the harvests!

  • Jason came to give me a consultation for my 10 vegetable beds that had turned into a complete rotting wilderness after a back injury. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and loved his proposal for a winter garden that included a detailed plan for vegetables and placement. Revival and installation of new soil and plants was done in a day by Jason's crew. After a month, I am already harvesting lettuce for salad and there is so much more on the way. I have always been plagued with infestations and lackluster yields, but with Jason in charge, everything is doing really well and pest free. I opted for the weekly service to harvest and maintain, as well as care for my many citrus trees. My garden is transforming into a sustainable market and we are reaping the benefits!
