Lead Foodscape Installer
Yard to Fork, LLC is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced landscaper/woodworker to lead our team of foodscape installers. Applicant must live local in Sacramento or surrounding areas. Tools and equipment are provided.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting at $23 - $28/hour (based on experience)
Benefits after 6 months of employment (Full-Time only):

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Building and installing of wood raised garden beds according to company specifications using miter saw, table saw, and power drills
Proper installation of PVC and drip irrigation lines
Assisting team in loading soil into raised garden beds
Planting fruit trees and vegetable starts and seeds
Ensure that safety equipment is used properly at all times by all crew members and that work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to provide a valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, a safe driving record, and comply with all state driving/transportation laws.
Comfortable driving a truck and trailer.
2 years or more experience as a crew foreman and a minimum 2 years of landscape, irrigation, and/or woodworking experience.
Must have a way to communicate for dispatching purposes (i.e. telephone, text, or email).
Must possess excellent communication skills in directing a team and connecting with customers.
Must have excellent organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
Must be a good team player.
Ability to communicate and report effectively.
Must be in good physical condition and able to perform physical manual labor for 8+ hours:
Able to bend, kneel, walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time during the workday.
Able to lift up to 60-80 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
Able to work in all outdoor conditions: heat, cold, humidity, rain, dust, mud, etc.
Must be detail oriented (i.e. taking precise measurements) and have the ability to read drawings and plans.
Must be willing and able to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Woodworking experience and/or general construction experience
Prior experience using a miter, table, circular, or reciprocating saw
Proficiency in all types of irrigation system installations
Prior use of most hand tools (i.e. pruners, staple hammer, nail hammer, tamper, shovel, rake, wheelbarrow) and power tools (i.e. drills, finishing nail gun, jackhammer)
Availability:
Must have open availability Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 am and 5:00 pm.
General winter hours 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
General summer hours 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
